Olympic National Park: A Wilderness Paradise on Victoria’s Doorstep
September 18 @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am
Despite only being a short 25 miles/40kms away, a great many residents of Victoria have ever visited the stunning Olympic National Park. Once in Port Angeles, having traveled across the strait on the Coho ferry, a curving road ascends 5242/1600m to the top of Hurricane Ridge. From this lofty vantage point, the majesty of the Olympic Mountains spreads through a full 180 degrees. Wildlife, like the rare Olympic Marmot or everywhere chipmunks, abound. Eye-popping displays of wildflowers attracts crowds of photographers and wildflower enthusiasts each year around late June and early July. Come with Rick Searle as he takes you into the heart of the Olympic Mountains!
